Food Intolerance and Digestive Health Clinic
Food intolerances can cause a wide range of ill health symptoms. Identifying and eliminating those foods that cause problems for you can be a positive step forward in achieving wellness. In many cases its not just eating offending foods that causes the symptoms but the damage caused to the digestive system. This is why many people start by being sensitive to one or two things but later find that more and more foods cause problems and the severity and frequency of symptoms escalates.
At the Food Intolerance and Digestive Health Clinic, the aim is to take into account the full extent of the problems that can arise from and cause food sensitivities. This is why the examination includes:
Food Sensitivity Testing
Testing for intolerance or sensitivity to foods eaten regularly such as: Grains, Yeast, Dairy products, Eggs, Poultry, Meat, Fish, Seafood, Nuts, Seeds, Vegetables, Fruit, Sugar, Alcohol, ………
The food sensitivity test is carried out using Kinesiology (muscle testing). A strong muscle that weakens in the presence of a substance indicates that an energetic disturbance has been caused. This disturbance may contribute to symptoms. Where multiple food sensitivities are indicated, investigation and treatment of the underlying cause is advised. Were disturbances are caused by only a few items then avoiding the indicated foods can often help. NAET Treatment can also help to reduce symptoms caused by food sensitivities.
Vitamin and Mineral Deficiency/ Efficiency testing
Vitamin and mineral deficiency can result from long-term intolerance to food. Where a deficiency is indicated then supplementation may be appropriate. In many cases of nutrient deficiency however it is not the lack of intake of the nutrient that causes problems but the ability or efficiency of the body in using the nutrient. Where the inability to use a nutrient efficiently (intolerance) is evident, NAET (Nambudripad allergy elimination technique) is recommended to rebalance the body’s response to the nutrient often avoiding the need for supplementation.
ICV
The ICV (Ileo-Cecal Valve) separates the small intestine from the large intestine. It opens to allow waste matter to pass from the small intestine to the large intestine. The small intestine extracts nutrients from food.
If the valve stays open, waste can leak back from the large intestine into the small intestine and the body is poisoned. If the valve stays shut, matter stays in the small intestine putrefies and the body is poisoned. Symptoms associated with ICV dysfunction include, abdominal pain, allergies, bloating, chest pain, constipation, dark circles under the eyes, diarrhoea, emotional stress, headaches, indigestion, joint and back pain, migraine, mimics heart pain, shoulder pain, elbow pain, skin complaints, neck pain and tinnitus. ICV problems can be caused by a number of factors including food sensitivities, stress, emotional upset, dehydration, low digestive enzymes and dysbiosis. Removing the causative factor and making physical and energetic corrections resolves the condition.
Hiatus Hernia
A Hiatus hernia occurs when the top part of the stomach is squeezed up through the hole in the diaphragm through which the oesophagus passes. This can be caused by shortages of water, omega 3 EFAs magnesium, B vitamins, digestive enzymes and Hydrochloric acid, aggravated by lifting heavy objects, poor posture, food sensitivity, and pregnancy. Manipulation of the stomach into the correct position can often bring lasting relief to symptoms which include indigestion, gas, bloating, pain while eating, pain around the heart, pain on deep breathing and vomiting. Many babies are born with this condition.
Fungus, Parasites etc
The presence of excess fungus, parasites, toxic metal or chemicals, radiation, virus or bacteria in the system can be a factor in digestive health issues. Identifying the presence of low level infection and/or toxic substances and using natural remedies to remove and rebalance the body’s terrain is a vital part of restoring overall health and well being.
